Class of August 2013 - Part 10
HOnestly, George, I was hurt when I read your comment...then I saw your next comment after I had shut my computer. It did not help much. Then I saw you were leaving, so I was saying goodbye but there was a zing in there too. Then I saw that we were staying.
Honestly I can't keep up with your posts.
I don't know you well. I would like to get to know you more. I was taken aback but see the progression of your posts so I welcome you to stay. The more the merrier.

George, please keep posting here, too. Your experience is valuable in that it reminds us all of the pitfalls that are out there. And you can keep us posted on your progress. Because I know you will progress. There is also another thread on here called "the One Year and Under" or "undies". They are also a lovely bunch of caring people who have their ups and downs. I read and post all around because there is much to be learned everywhere and you also never know when something you post can make all the difference at that particular time to one particular person. If I can help one person it makes me happy.
I am sorry you disappointed yourself, George, but get back up and keep trying. If getting sober were easy, AA wouldn't be world wide, this site wouldn't be here and the whole human condition would be different. Be compassionate with yourself but don't excuse yourself. You can learn from this and teach us something, too. I still struggle everyday and your experience teaches me. I need teaching and support every single day and you've got it to give.

Else, I too have been feeling quite "flat" on the meds. Anxiety is still a problem, but at the same time I feel just a little out of it, just indifferent most of the time. Im very glad that your dear dog is on the mend. Poor puppy!
Kadidee, that nap sounds wonderful! Definitely nap over wine!
George, sorry you slipped, keep at it. You deserve to be sober! I'm at a bit of a loss trying to make sense of. Your previous posts. I would like to state for the record that we all appreciate and value jdooner. He is an asset to this class and is well loved by all of us. I hope your posts were written with humor and sincerity and not spite. To be honest it is very unclear and I for one would appreciate some clarity. and of course continue to post here in august! A slip is just that, a slip, and as good a reason as any to reach out for support from those who have been there with you from the start.

Hi George, you're welcome here, let us know what happened and what your plan is. I'll just second what Sheknits said about JD- he's been very helpful and willing to share his insights with those of us in this group, and I myself am very appreciative of it. Stick around and contribute George - it's a great class.
