I'm so glad Isis is fine, Bam, this is a good thing you did for her.

I'm having a day filled with obstacles. Every time I went to do something I got diverted and end up doing something else.

Tomorrow I shall wail like a banshee at anyone who messes with my organizational skills. Queeny says

Yay! Isis is home!

Least, I'm assuming that the D in Dk does not mean dear or darling?

It's official...I am a full-fledged hospital volunteer! Wheeeee.......

I'm starting out in the Food & Nutrition Dept.

Am thinking that the Fands 'n Ann Workout video could use some nutritional tips I'll get the skinny (haha) on all kindza stuff!

Also have a job interview this week from the agency that gave me that stupid breakfast analogy test.

It's part-time to start but works out great for the volunteering schedule.

Only whine is that it's still too dark, too cold, too early!

One mention of the s--- word and I'll screeeaaaammm!!

P.S. Ann, is your job going to be on a winter hold while you're gone?

HB, that's a good thing you are doing and good things come to good people.

Cheesecake for breakfast is okay, yes?

HideorSeek and WatchTheSky - welcome to the wonderful world of whines, where your anxiety & stress will be relieved every time you complain, moan, and groan here. Already you've both added some high quality & worthy whines.

Bam - so glad Isis is back home & the deed is done. Past kitties I've had have been more affectionate & content after surgery.

HB - generous of you to volunteer your time at the hospital! I should follow your example.

Even though it seems like it was just summer yesterday, I went Christmas shopping & put stuff on layaway. Haven't done that in years - it was fun spending money I don't have.

Yes! Can you believe it? The gal I work for is such a terrific person and just glad I will come back to work for her when I get home. I really was blessed to find this job...actually it found me...but I am so blessed anyway. Love the work and love the people I work with/for/beside. Life is good.

That's why I am working extra right now and will again in tax season when I get home. Nice begets nice where I come from.

By May I will be back to my 2 or 3 days again and in my summer schedule.

I'm just hoping the *you know what* will hold off until we get away on Nov. 25th. We have had some but it didn't stick around.

sorry Dee, i feel your pain...whatever it is....deep breathing, relax your shoulders...i learned this during a 2 day root canal...

glad Isis is home ...perhaps a little heating pad for the sore muscles? that's what i did for Fandy and the Pook....they have a faux fur cat house.....it iscollapsible....they loved to sit quietly on the bed in their privacy house...with the heating pad underneath....for the first 24 hours...NOW the little cats are like banshees....racing around the house at 3AM....they are refusing to eat turkey tonight...i guess i will try something else.

Ann, you are in charge of the job...they are lucky to have you...how is the ridge cleaning going?

Sheesh, this is like joining a jump rope game! I don't have to go back to part 1, do I ??? All these references to stuff I don't know....I should warn you, I was born with a foot in my mouth and I often ask innocent (to me!) questions and find myself inside a Pandora's Box (ask Rusty Z.....). So, I guess I come with a disclaimer attached..."don't answer if awkward"...Believe me, I have a unintentional knack....

So, let's start with something innocuous...where are you going Ann?

Dee's post was very cryptic, so I will ask, shyly, is everything OK?

I think I'm safe with those....

Oh, and a smidgen about me...I lovelovelove words and am often wordy. Feel free to doze....I can't see you , anyway, so won't be offended. I have my pet words and tonight it's "cheeky"...last month I had a fondness for "pesky" and "frisky"....

Am I still welcome???!!!!

Zonked out on the couch. I don't do that often. Going to bed soon...although I just ate some nut rolls and I'm drinking a caffinated beverage.

When my sister's cat had her operation she took a sock and put some rice in it. Real rice not Minute Rice and heat in the microwave for about 2 minutes. She said it worked great and the cat liked it. It was easier to get by her than a heating pad.

Welcome all whiners..........

Sending good health wishes to Ozy! HoS, of course you're welcome! I often have no whines and am so 'cheery' as make you want to be sick...

My whine is a small one: I was tired so laid down with the dogs.... and slept until after 11 pm!!! Needless to say dogs' supper was very late. They weren't mad tho, just ate like pigs, like always, and were grateful to get supper even if it was so late. Still tired so may go to bed soon even tho I just woke up.

Bam, if Isis is jumping around she must be feeling pretty darn good! I'd take that as a good sign. :-)

Nighty night hugs to all. (((hugs)))

Seek, I'm heading to Florida for 3 monthsl, something we've wanted to do for over 30 years. We've made shorter trips but this year we're going to be there most of the winter. I love nature so there will be alligator and manatee pictures and swamp whines galore.

"We" would be me, aka Queeny (Queen of the Whiners and Drama Queen both) and King Bubba, a good man with a bad sense of direction. Sometimes I like to whine in the third person, and that's where I wear my Queeny hat/crown.

Don't worry about catching up here...you'll get the hang of it very soon.
