Hmm am i the only one on here! Oh well here goes have you ever herd how the first year the hardest No its the second no its the third!
The only thing you have to do perfectly is don't drink you keep trying to talk like others and walk like others then eventually you'll fall down I know I was perfect and I did after about 6 yrs then I started over so Ive actually had a lot of time in AA and If you dont Know yet that time isn't everything you Will!
I sound like Yoda in Here! lol Well thats what AA sounded like to me! at first too! sometimes you have to do more that act like a duck walk like a duck and Quack like a Duck sometimes you have to be the Duck! lol
In other word don't be sober for them just be sober you have to love yourself as well as your aa members Because if you don't take care of you, won't be able to "share with them" an sometimes what they want to share with you ain't sobriety its just sex! lol

Yes it is Ro. Its a good reminder of how much my sobriety means to me.
Heading to my HG this morning, my sponsee will be there too. Coffee commitment and greeting. It will be good, I sure need this commitment today!!!
Grateful for reminders of what it was like, what happened and what it is like now.

Indeed. So am I. I felt terrible last night, physically and emotionally. Not sure where it came from but I was blindsided. I came home and went to bed and I feel a little more centered this morning. I was at a meeting last night, and it was a good one. I could identify with the speaker but suddenly it came to me that a drink would be good right about then. Upon reflection, I realize that the same thought had come to me earlier in the day as well.
I still don't understand where the thought came from. I'm glad I didn't act on it - but it scared me.

Its so scary that this disease just sits and waits, that is why we have our meetings and need to remember we only have a daily reprieve from that damn drink.

Stoney, I'm glad to see you are past those awful feelings yesterday.
My leg was back hurting last night, she talked me through putting the acupuncture pads on myself last night, not sure I put them in the right places. Started the vitamins when I woke up though. This pain sure hurts alot. (I guess that's why they call it pain, duh)

I had a good nights sleep last night and feel pretty refreshed today...
My *mood* has lifted some... i saw my sponsor yesterday and we talked about anything but my recovery and it was great... i just needed to be *normal* I know that probably doesnt make sense... but everything is about recovery and it was too much for my head.
I started my step 4 and she has told me to put it away while i sort some other stuff out... too much going on... i could actually feel the relief.
I met a friend last night.. my old counselor and we spent 3hrs just chatting over coffee in this cafe... til 10pm.... i havent been out past 10pm since i gave up drinking... unless it ws to a meeting or the other day a friends party.... it was great... it again felt normal..
We had a great laugh too and it feels good when we talk...
Anyway... i am at work just now but i got here and the guy i support went out before i got here so i just have to wait around till he shows up... i have read 8 chapters of my book so thought i would head in here to say MORNIN...
