Gas prices are up again, I don't get it, there is no reason for this and it's just a rip off from a manipulated market. And...I don't like "self-serve" (Queeny doesn't DO gas pumping) so I pay even more. I need a horse, and maybe a nice carriage.

Hi all and thanks for the intervention I needed that.
What was I thinking.
I don't know if anyone remembers this but in April I started working on my tolerance in order to have a more serene life. Well it didn't work out and I just gave up but now I am going to start it again after my fitness challenge.
I started this week and my whine is I DON'T LIKE BEING PATIENT.

I am like that volture in the poster where all the animals are playing in the field and he says.

Patience my Ass I am going to Kill something.

Maybe someone can find that poster and post it here. That would make the old Fub less grumpy and more ready to tackle the tolerance issue.

Fub...how about, "God Grant Me Patience...But, Hurry!" I actually bought a little plaque with this on it...a gift from an AA Retreat for my then sponsor. When I gave it to her, she gave me this quizzical look...and, I realized the slogan was really intended FOR ME!!!

Gas prices are up!
It's called "Supply and Demand".
They'll go down come Fall.

Went over to entertain grandbaby while daughter got some sleep. He was only 'entertained' for a short while, then was very loudly unhappy. Took him out in the stroller for a walk. It started raining, he started screaming. Brought him back and then put his car seat in the car and started driving with the radio on. He fell asleep. Brought him back home... he woke up.

Thanks Ann. That is the one. I had it on my wall when a was a teenager. It was a black light poster.
One of the other posters said Tune in Turn on Drop out. It was also a black light poster.

I had a couple of more posters but I can't remember exactly what the sayings were because they seemed to keep moving when I tried to read them.

My whine today is that my heritage is Anglo...Scottish, Welsh and a little Irish (which is probably where I get my red hair and lack of patience)...and that means boring food. My next life, I think I'd like to be Italian or Greek, they have great food and music too.

Hugs from Mama Mia

Ann I still love you even if you're not Italian!

Only joking, but Italian food is definitely the best.

I am a British, French , and Canadian Indian combo, I think that way anyways. I am not sure about the Canadian Indian part. I might have made that up somewhere along the way to explain why my beard doesn't grow in good.
All of this leads up to my whine de jour.
I can't remember which of my many embellishments are true, half true, or total bs so I do not even know who I am or what I am anymore so all I really am is what I have portrayed myself to be and I don't even remember some of what that is.

Oh what a tangled web we weave.
When we practice to deceive.

How come I can remember that stupid little rhyme when it has nothing to do with me.

I will have you know that I DO NOT dye my hair!!! Harummmpphh!!! Nope, I simply "restore it to its natural colour". *shakes her regal tresses*

And Fub, I love your embellishments, and if that explains why your beard is askew, then so be it.

Me? Why I wouldn't dream of embellishing. I really AM a Queen!! Yes I AM! *shakes her regal tresses again and heads for the royal shower*.

My life has gotten so much easier since getting sober, no more lies or deceiving anyone. There is no remembering needed when we are telling the truth.
