I AM sure on haggis...I am sure I wouldn't eat it if I was starving to death. Blechhht

I used to hate red hair when I was a child, it passed down on my maternal side from my mother and her mother before her. When I would whine about the colour, my mother would say "God put some very special people on this earth...and He gave us red hair so people would know who we were."

So now you KNOW who I AM

'Scuse me, I have to go deflate my ego now

Wow, you had a very wise Mom Ann. You reminded me of when my son was little, he had freckles on his cheeks and nose, not alot but they were there and he hated them. I told him when he was born all the angels gave him kisses on his face and those were the marks from their kisses. He never had a problem with those freckles again. Thanks for the gentle memory Ann I needed it right now.

My whine is that ck is constantly bugging me about contacting her college and asking them to 'speed up' the process of determining her amount of financial aid.... and this from the kid who waited until the LAST day to file her application and then waited until the LAST minute to submit additional forms needed to determine her amount of aid!!!

I've told her to shut up and relax about it, but she keeps nagging. I've told her to call the college herself but she doesn't want to... and neither do I...

I've also told her that NEXT YEAR she can fill out the app AS SOON AS SHE GETS IT and not wait til the last day!!!!!

Rusty Z!!! That's kk's haiku....I would never line my paint tray with aluminum foil...I thought you knew me better than that!! I'd just put my paint tray in the fridge and cover the top with saran wrap!!!

Y'know a (clean and new ) paint tray is great for dipping corn-on-the-cob....just fill it with melted butter, roll it and start munching side to side by rows...or up and down & across, if you prefer!

LOLOL, for this obsessive/compulsive codie, eating corn on the cob across, about 3 rows at a time, is the only possible way to eat cobbed corn properly. Up and down, round and round, makes me dizzy, even watching someone else eat it that way. Since corn season is arriving here soon, I may want to work on this.

My whine today? It's "Elvis" weekend here, a huge annual festival where hundreds of Elvis wannabe's come to town and perform everywhere...some good and some not so good. Why do I whine? Because Queeny shall have company and maybe have to cook....and...rain is in the forecast. There is nothing more whinable than Queen cooking and wet Elvis's everywhere.

Corn anyone?

We have one up here in the frozen northland of Canada.

It is better than being kicked in the ass with a frozen mukluck.

A mukluck is a type of Eskimo boot for those that have never heard of it. I probably spelled it wrong because I don't speak Eskimo and am too lazy to google it.
