A few good ones too....

A soup kitchen helper.

Charity shop worker.

Gardening at a city farm.

Catering asst. at a hospice (I used to work in a cafe so...)

I just get in touch directly and tell them I am registered with Liverpool Volunteer service. Which I am, apparently, lol.

Thats brilliant news it really is. Will you pick one. I think the soup kitchen might be very hard work in good weather. What about the garden one? or the charity shop might not be real hard work but you would get an chance to mix with lots of people every day and share a little kindness with them.

I am leaning towards Gardening at a city farm or Catering asst. at a hospice atm but I haven't decided yet, I only got the email just now.

suppose that would be good. you could probably start off with one day a week and see how you go. do you know the city farm? what is it like?

I suddenly realised I was starving, lol. I made the bacon buttie so fast I made a cup of tea with cold water, lol. I forgot to boil the kettle, never done that before.

Who's Octoman? Hey Stone, I have been saying I wanted to volunteer for Hospice but just didn't do it. Then yesterday I was leaving a new meeting and there was a paper with phone numbers attached to rip off for a Hospice volunteer. I took one and I'm gonna call.

As to the exercise, all I get is watching my dogs on the treadmill. My bones are aching today, rain coming. Maybe I should get a job as a weatherperson. I will always be right on the money for rain....

Stoney..it does great. Wow, this thread took off today..fantastic. Wish I'd had
