Nands, I know exactly what it is. Family shite, hate having to deal with emotions so used to just numbing them out.
Sober I need to deal with them. Frankly I don't want to.

Just PM'd the Wonkey one but thought I'd share this with the rest of you.
He's not the only one that could have murdered a drink tonight.
All weekend I've had this urge to have a drink, was passing a shop today and really fancied popping in for a half bottle of vodka.
Have'nt had a drink in 9 months come tomorrow, get these thoughts that the buzz must be amazing after all that time off it.
Its funny, been fine since xmas, but this weekend was harder.
If I'd been somewhere today where I'd been offered a drink I don't honestly know if I'd have not just said yes.
Wasn't though and the day's nearly done, be ok now for today.
You always think it gets easier, and believe me it does, never totally goes away though !!!!!!!!

Credit to you fizz for your honesty. Like I said to you in the PM mate it actually does me good to know you struggle sometimes.
Maybe because I wasn't here when you first started and had problems i've always just seen you having this annoyingly(!) heroic resolve that powers you through. It actually really helps me to know that you still struggle and battle through.

Cheers mate, your right though, its just recently I started finding things easier, probably only Nands from the folks on this thread will remember me going to a wedding in October which took over a few threads for about a week.

yep that was scary fizzy....
It does get less often that really thinking about drinking happens...it's just that occationally it gets dicey.
Fizzy (hug) glad you made it through that...remember we are here for you too.... I know you like to do it alone, but keep us in your heart.
