Purps, I was a nail biter in my younger years. What finally stopped me is I got manicure with fake nails for a long time. It is hard to bite or pick at fake nails and they look so nice. Then I stopped with the manicure chemicals first time I got pregnant and never went back to nail biting 😊 I keep my nails natural now. Only get pedicures. I never bit my toenails though. 😂
Alive, we are always stronger than we think. Glad you are improving ❤️
Alpine, that is a fantastic meme on really hard things. So true. Thank you. Btw, I know you lost hair due to a different reason Mine was due to menopause and stress and when I treated it and it grew back, it grew in curly and thicker and I decided to keep it short. I love it. Embrace the new you ❤️
Zen, yes, we are never alone or lonely, especially here
BKA, love the story about rescuing baby bunny
Peke, I definitely have peace of mind with the pet insurance.

I have a little dream that in 6.5 years I can walk away from all of these jobs and the only work I'll be doing is chopping firewood, raising chickens, growing vegetables, fishing, hunting, and maintaining our mountain cabin (which we have yet to find) God willing!

Grateful for shrimp, saffron rice, steamed broccoli, and some snacks while we binged on S6 of Outlander.
Grateful for a Friday night away from the side jobs.
Grateful for a good price on a rack of ribs for Monday night.
Grateful to have a little time this morning for light chores.

I bite my nails. I think I always have. I've tried the acrylic ones and I hated them, so sometimes they grow and sometimes I bite them. I am not even usually aware of it.
Grateful I got to the post office and mailed a bunch of bills and got stamps. Even the head of the FBI won't pay bills on line. That tells one something.
Grateful for the storm today and the lowering of temps. I don't know if we're supposed get anymore rain, but the temps are going down. I don't mind it cooler.
Grateful to be sober and grateful for you all.
Pleasant dreams tonight!

Good evening all. Big day for my family in that my brother's MIL passed last night. She was a force in of herself but had been suffering for some months. It is one of those sad and happy things. I was lucky to know her. For the life she lived and her support of our family I am deeply grateful.

BKA, my condolences to you and your family on the loss of a matriarch, I am thankful your memories of her are pleasant and understand how it can be both a sad and happy time

Alpine - Love the meme, and congratulations on the upcoming anniversary, definitely a momentous occasion to be anticipating.

Grateful for some long hours at the ball field, it'll lead up to a good check.
Grateful to come home and throw a load in the washer, always gotta have a clean uniform, and have some stuff in the fridge for a bowl of goulash.
Grateful for the quail in the backyard, one nesting in a hanging flower basket, and they're running all over the neighborhood. Spring is in the air, time to get those baby quail hatching.
Grateful for the seedlings that are flourishing in our planters.

Peke, so glad your dinner party was a success! Sounds lovely. 2 days with your husband on the weekend, that is probably rare. Good for you!
Grateful I ran over to my sister's and got something she picked out for me. I guess I'm doing laundry Tuesday at her house. I was supposed to do it tomorrow but she made other plans with a friend, they are doing crafts or something. It doesn't really matter if I do it Tuesday, it's just more laundry to carry up the hill. She usually helps me if she sees me. Her dogs are so cute. Grateful for them. I'm almost one of their little family. Well, they have 4 kids, so it's not really little. Grateful for each one of my niece and nephews. I haven't seen them in so long, I hope they are well. My poor BIL has been working weeks straight with very little time off. He's got to be exhausted. I feel sorry for him when his 12 hour shifts go longer and longer for 4 days. They love the O.T., but at some point one needs sleep. He's on his way to L.A. again. Well, it doesn't seem to bother my sister. She keeps herself busy. I'm grateful it works for them.
BKA, my sincere condolences.
Grateful for a very nice day today.
Grateful I haven't had an appetite for a few days. I think I've lost a few more pounds. Grateful for that. Grateful for all of you and your posts.
Have a wonderful evening. Pleasant dreams to all. Hi to everyone! It's so hard to get all the names in, but grateful for each of you especially any one struggling or suffering in anyway.

Well done Chef Peke.
Aly hope you appetite returns
Alpine, thank you for hanging in there for soon to be 2 years. I'm 4 months-ish behind you. You mean alot to me.
Astro, always fascinating the jobs you do to make ends meet. Well in this economic playground you/I have to stretch the ends together. It is quite skinny in the middle tho.
BKA, prayers.
Hi Fearless
424 keep on going, it, being you, in all likelihood be better and better as sober time rolls along.

Grateful -

Thanks all for your support. She was just my brothers MIL but she was my friend too. I always want to be with family at times like this but that part of the family is private and introverted so I have stayed clear and only sent a text of condolence. It is lovely to be able to talk about her with you all. Thank you.

Zen, occasionally I stumble into the wrong grat group, look around, don't find you all and stumble out again. I'm delighted that there are other groups feeding their sense of gratitude parallel to our group.

Tonight I'm grateful for
- family and community who keep in touch
-being back in my own bed
-getting a few bits and bobs done today.

Good night

Hello Grateful Friends !

Grateful to be alive and sober.
Grateful that I sleep so well that I bought a whole new set of beautifully soft new sheets to cuddle up in and sleep so cozy in.
Grateful to enjoy and sing along and smile with the American Idol show earlier tonight, such great songs and singers in the final top 7.

Take care everyone.

Got tonight off, working the Rolling Stones concert tomorrow. Huge event of course so I'll probably be posted at one of the entry gates.

Grateful for Mexican food with my brother for his b-day, carnitas burro and refried beans for me.
Grateful for jalapenos from the garden, wonderful on my breakfast sandwich.
Grateful to finish watching Outlander S6, always a cliffhanger, and now I've gotta watch S4 of Black Sails.
Grateful my cardiologist didn't cancel my heart meds when I stopped using him.
