Alpine - Stuck in my head all the time. It's a better place to be now than it was in the past.
Free - Let me know if you have success with the Glads. I'd love to grow some.
CBS - I love our Chippies too - and worry about them all winter when they go underground. We used to have armies of them when we lived in the Catskills - now just 2 or 3.
Grateful for today's posts - everyone's busy.
Grateful for MrHev's patience & tolerance.
Grateful to be going away for a few days - a few hours from us - to Niagara Falls (been long ago) & Letchworth State Park, NY.
Grateful for our GP family. We are quite wonderful.

Oh wow, Niagara Falls….have a great time Hev!

Glad you had a fun family outing, Fearless

I am grateful that I got some yard work done this weekend….of course the kind that goes unnoticed because it was much needed!

Grateful for the spiritual messages I’ve been receiving (Confession: I’ve been watching Tarot card readings on YouTube by different psychics for my zodiac sign and they are all eerily similar)…. grateful to be told that blessings are around the corner and to be patient in the unknown

Grateful for our recovery peeps

^^^ Lol Alpine….same for me with alcohol too, back in the day. Once I heard a coworker say she had 3 beers the day before….I thought to myself, I have 3 beers while I’m trying to decide what I want to drink!

(Grateful those days are over)

Aly, yes to all the things that work!
Hev, that sounds like so much fun! Never been to Niagara Falls. Maybe someday if I can get on a plane again
Alpine, how nice to make a surprise quilt
Numblady, so nice to see you and glad you had a fun weekend w bf
Purps and CBS, still have not had time to do yard work. Weeds are growing. Ugh! Grati whine. Glad so,e weeds are pretty 😍
Grateful to reset my bedtime to an hour earlier starting tonight. If cog 1 (Charlie) can’t change, I will. Mr F won’t agree to give him Prozac and we’ve tried everything
Grateful for cat tape to prevent scratching
Grateful for an amazing time with friends yesterday. They are going through so much. Grateful for our long ter, friendship and support of each other
Grateful to have a really great discussion with sonny boy last night. He confided in me about a lot, feelings about life and relationships, lessons learned, some of his friends new crushes, what everyone is up to and asked me not to tell my mom friends (who are his friends moms). It’s all benign and sweet stuff so of course I can keep it confidential. Grateful sonny boy trusts me to be open
Grateful for one formal meeting today and one other one this week. Resetting my expectations at work about difficult clients amd unreasonable demands to be an ongoing thing so it can adjust and prepare
Grateful for all of you

Grateful for what looks like a very nice day out, warmer than yesterday.
Grateful I am going to do laundry at my sister's tomorrow. I'm trying to not let the loads get as big. It gets too hard to carry.
Hev, Niagra Falls sounds fantastic. I'd like to go there some day too. It's probably incredible to see, I'm sure.
Grateful I have to order groceries today. Although, like Alpine's meme, even with ordering I always forget something (s).
Grateful for all the wonderful posts and I have things to do today, but no real rush about anything and I should get over to Walgreens before they put my stuff back.
Grateful for all of you!
Have a wonderful day. Love and peace to you all.

Ok…caught up on all the posts I had missed. Hopefully I can remember at least some of what I wanted to say in response.
Turs, really love what your therapist said about self-criticism/negativity as suppressed anger.
Hev, that sounds like a really nice trip.
CBS, I’m sure it is so hard to move past the competitive focus in tennis. It’s a fine line since achievement and success are a lot of what keeps us motivated in sports. Or at least that’s how it seems to me. I guess maybe it’s all about defining what success even is that can help us change how we view it. But easier said than done. I hope you have good luck with finding a therapist.
Alpine, I think it’s incredible you helped a neighbor pick up the debris in her yard.
Purps, that is really awesome about your mom getting to come visit.
Fearless, that is amazing SB trusts you like that. I will say that is definitely not a place where we are living parallel lives. Have such a tough time talking to my SB most of the time. Makes me sad not to have more of a relationship with him.
Aly, good luck with the laundry and all the other “niggly jibs”
listae, congrats on day 84. And not wanting a drink on that day.
Free, the list of food sounds yummy!
Hi to everyone else!

Hello fellow morning grat pack

I am grateful to have made it to another class at the Y yesterday….in much need to keep it up, or at least do online videos from home if I don’t go in-person…

Grateful for rain to water the plants

(Edit to add: I agree Fearless….while the weeds are annoying, I try to be grateful for the pretty ones + they give the pollinators something to eat!)

Grateful for healing energy music and reiki/guided meditations

Grateful
- to wake up super early (??kind of grateful) — and that I can hopefully sneak in a nap later
- for my air fryer and my slow cooker(s)
- that I have space in my house to store some belongings for my friend’s son who just finished his freshman year
- to be at least trying to internalize that having needs and wants doesn’t make me needy
- for the rain we have had lately
- for coffee
- for all of you.

Alpine, glad for new deer run ins. Deer here is well and as beautiful as they are it can be dangerous driving in the dark
Numblady, that would be really hard for me about sonny boy. I hope eventually he will come around. Mine is so hot and cold. I am for sure grateful when we have these talks. Just wish it was more consistent, less random and less of an emotional coaster. But such is life
Grateful to be doing my best with a work media project with very little support from marketing and IT and learning as much as I can. Not perfect but I feel good about what I’ve accomplished even if it is not used
Grateful to sleep in guest room last night. Lately the cogs are just driving me nuts and waking up at 3:30 am. I needed space and sleep through the night which I did get. I can’t do that every night though. I’d miss Mr F!
Grateful for the smell of bacon and eggs
Grateful to learn an old friend is trying out sobriety
Grateful for no meetings today
Grateful for all of you

I woke up kind of earlier than I wanted, but I do have some things to do today. I have to give my sister a call later to go over there and do some laundry. Grateful we do this so we can get together and I get my laundry done.
I have to go to the dentist tomorrow for all that work. I have to get up kind of early to get there. I'll be grateful to have this tooth that hurts taken care of.
Grateful for all of you this morning. It looks really nice out.
Grateful for your posts and to see NL back.
Have a wonderful day all and love and peace to you all.

Hello Grat Pack. I think I missed a day or two. Been feeling really down and depressed. And that is when I should be writing gratefulness. Not sure why I am so low but I know work pressure/frustrations, tennis losses, the state of the world/politics, what humans are doing to destroy the earth all are in play. Huge grati-whine sorry. Trying to find a new therapist. It ain't easy.

listae I love your grateful lists.
Aly I hope the dentist tomorrow goes really well.
Fearless so nice that your friend is trying sobriety. Maybe you have been an inspiration to her.
Alpine glad Mr. A is home. Sorry he had such a late flight.
NL and Purps we have had some lovely rain here and my garden and weeds are so happy.
Free glad you got good sleep.
Hev I hope you enjoy Niagara Falls. That is where my parents honeymooned! I have been there too. My parents, grandparents and great grandparents(from Sweden) all were from Jamestown, NY.
Hello to all others!

Grateful for leftover Lebanese food for lunch.
Grateful I am feeling a little better today.
Grateful for some sunshine to dry us out before the next rain.
Grateful for my sobriety and I did not give in the AV that has been nagging me lately.
Grateful for SR and the GP.
