Hi all. Busy weekend but very fulfilling. Trying to catch up.
Turs glad it was just a raccoon. But sorry he disturbed your sleep.
Alpine love your coffee pot meme!
NL safe travels today. I love crispy shallots!
Purps I am way more into gardening and natives too. Such a therapeutic thing to do.
Fearless glad your dog is so loving and there is progress with the cogs. Hope your doc. appt. goes well.
Aly I hope you get out of your funk.
Good to see you FBL. I need to listen to music more and watch less tv. If feeds the should and you can be more productive while doing it if you want.
Hiya Hev and Free and anyone who I forgot.

Grateful I played tennis yesterday and I feel ok.
Grateful for a wonderful sleepover with my granddaughter. Husband was camping so it was just the two of us. She was so sweet and was a good listener.
Grateful for beautiful wether.
Grateful my husband and his buddies had a nice time and good weather camping. They saw a giant alligator!
Grateful for my sobriety.
Grateful for SR and all of you!

Grateful for red roses in the yard.
Grateful for setting limits.
Grateful for AA meetings.
Grateful for experiencing a magical day yesterday (which would not have been possible without sobriety).

Hope your funk has snapped out, Aly….I can’t stand when that happens. Maybe we could revisit the self care thread and come up with some ideas

Free, I am also glad my drinking days are over!

*****

I am grateful for the new Sherpa blanket I was given by a nice coworker. She and her daughter had it still brand new, and were getting ready to take it to resale shop….she offered it to me instead for BratCat to use

Grateful for another day of no drama

Grateful for coffee and cereal

Purps, thanks for the sympathy/validation.
Fearless, that sounds like a neat picnic—complete with teen drama to keep it even more interesting! Cool that SB got an award.
Aly, sorry the depression is staying put. I hope it lifts. Or at least the Monday doldrums do.
listae, wonderful about the magical day.
CBS, that sounds like a really sweet and special sleepover.
Alpine, so sorry about the frustrating situation. Good luck dealing with it!
Hi everyone else!

Grateful
- big work meeting is over.
- I said something to a work colleague who has frustrated me in the past. It was pretty direct for my standards. Don’t really know that it resolved the overall issue of me not feeling like she has my back. But I did at least tell her straight up that I didn’t think she understood something I said because she was characterizing it as me basically saying i had something all figured out
- that I have my parents’ support. Even if it isn’t necessarily expressed in the way that would be helpful to me (grati whine sorry. Just frustrated because it’s usually just advice and insinuation about stuff I should be doing versus just offering to do what I need)
- to bond with a work colleague I hadn’t spent much time with previously
- to notice that my boss was not herself and check on her. Not sure what was going on but something with her son and she was so upset. She was touched that I noticed.
- for all of you.

Love that script, Zen! Hope you're well these days. Thank you for the lovely PM. Very kind of you.
I finally made a dentist appointment this afternoon to fix a huge filling that fell out weeks ago and it started hurting yesterday. Actually 3 teeth hurt. I hope I don't have to get a root canal. I really like this dentist. I wish I could find his office better. It's not easy to find. I haven't been there in a while, so I had better look it up.
Fearless, I hope you're doing better. Been thinking of you.
Alpine, thank you for your PM too! Always nice to open my computer in the morning and have a message.
Thank you all for acknowledging and sympathizing with this funk. Getting better. NL, Monday probably has something to do with it too.
I hope you are all well and have a wonderful day.
Grateful for all of you so very much! Love and peace. Take care all.

Aly, hope the funk passes soon. It can be hard to trudge through.
Zen, love the script! And yay for weirdness.
NL, I hear ya about parents style of offering support. Mine didn't know how to be emotionally supportive with words and presence, really. It's kind of bittersweet, knowing I was loved and supported, but not usually in the way that I needed. Disappointed and grateful at the same time.
Purps, I love the no-drama days too!
Free, Free, Free, good to see ya!
CBS, glad you got a sleepover with your granddaughter.
Fearless, sometimes those tears just gotta fall. I hope you're feeling better soon.
Grateful for a good talk with Mr. T's sister yesterday. I'm postponing my visit to her until next week. Trying to balance self care & helping her. She's very understanding and has been a good sport through a difficult stretch.
Grateful for a good meeting with the volunteer who is taking over my role at the church. So relieved to hand off the responsibility. I will still be involved and doing various things to help out, but won't be "in charge" of finances and that will help me tremendously.
Grateful to be seeing the doctor again this afternoon for my ear.
Grateful negative thoughts have receded.
Grateful for sunshine, need to get outside today.

Free - So crazy how we thought we were calming ourselves with a drink.
CBS - Sounds lovely, being with your granddaughter.
Alpine - Fido Bona looks a bit shifty. He has a point, though.
Purp - Has BratCat accepted or rejected the Sherpa blankie?
NL - Good that you spoke up & were a friend to your boss.
Zen - Sober & somewhat sane - me too.
Aly - I know how reluctant we are to make those appointments - good that you did.
Grateful we finally tackled the dreaded cleaning of the ceiling fans.
Grateful for warmth & sun.
Grateful hummingbirds are back in our area - not in our yard yet though.
Grateful for honest conversations with my sister. No more rivalry or trying to outdo each other, since we're older.
Grateful for each & every GP participant. We are lovely.

Alpine I hope the frustration has subsided. Glad you beat down the AV!
Purps what a nice coworker. Glad your new job seems to be good.
NL glad you have your parents support even though it is not in ideal forms. Now that my husband and I have no parents left I long for those days having them even though my relationship with my in-laws was somewhat flawed. My mom and I were so close though I think of her everyday and I feel her in me somehow.
Hi Zen what a cool font. Weird is ok. Normal is boring. We all need to be more ourselves and not give in to convention.
Aly I hope the dentist appt. goes ok.
Turs I am with you on trying to rid myself of the negative thinking. Or at least reduce it.
Hev I just saw my first hummingbird this year. He came to my begonias.
Hi Free, Free, Free ;0)
Hello to all others!

Grateful for being caught up at work. Trying to find things to do.
Grateful for a beautiful day.
Grateful for the things I planted yesterday to replace the non native Chinese Holly that we took down for lots of reasons. Might still add a few native ferns.
Grateful my vegetable garden is looking good. The rabbit fence seems to be working.
Grateful my son and his fiancé are home safe from another trip. Europe(France,Switzerland, Germany and Amsterdam) this time. They travel a ton!
Grateful for SR and the GP.

Hi all. Just checking in since I didn’t make it this morning. I read a little but have to catch up. My doctor appt went very well. I have a very supportive female doctor who is also a mom and had some trouble with her teen son who is now away at college and still has ups and downs. That’s just life. But we all get it and it’s hard. She prescribed a couple of non habit forming or high producing prescriptions that I started today. Hoping to get sleep tonight.
Grateful work has been better
Grateful everything just seemed better today 😊
Grateful to find new recipes to try. Thought I had tried it all. But nope
Grateful you are always here! Don’t know what I’d do without you!

Purps,I love drama free days
NL, I am sure your boss really appreciated that you checked in with her. And I am like Turs regarding my parents, not emotionally supportive and quite distant. Not sure where I got my compassion from...? Possibly due to me not having it growing up.
Aly, hope all went well at the dentist
Turs, I hope your ear is doing better
Zen, with your script I had to think a bit to be able to read it..lol
Hev, I am eagerly awaiting the humming birds
CB, do you have issues with deer or others eating from your garden?
Fear, I hope you got some sleep
Free, I hope all is well
Grateful I negotiated my frustration yesterday with a clear head
Grateful Mr A will be coming home tonight
Grateful after all of the rain everything is so vibrant green
Grateful for all of you
