Hi Grat Packers. I have not posted in a few days due to being busy with houseguests. Back to our empty nest now.
Fearless thinking of you as you remember your dad. I lost my dad long ago but I think of him a lot and even dream about him sometimes.
Sneezy I am glad you had good sleep. I did too last night. Such a blessing when it happens.
PS I agree on being happy about a normal schedule. I enjoyed my houseguests but it is nice to have the peace and quiet today as I work from home. Just me and the two cats and the dog.
NL we got our tree too. But waiting for my granddaughter to help me decorate it late this week. IT doesn't smell as good as I had hoped.
Turs good for you for decluttering. I really need to do that.
Aly I hope you get some help from your sisters. Thinking of you.
Grateful all my guests have made it back home safely.
Grateful for my sobriety.
Grateful that there was not a lot of drinking over the holiday by my guests.
Grateful for SR and all of you.
Grateful for a good night's sleep.
Grateful for a nice hike in a state park yesterday after dropping my brother off at the airport.

Fearless - The Raccoon drama - I can only imagine! Thought they were too large to get in the walls.
That would be a lovely picture to frame - can't believe it's been a year.
CBS - I don't think trees are as fragrant as in the past. Don't know why that would be, if they're fresh. I've noticed the same thing.
Grateful to be mostly finished shopping - except for MrHev.
Grateful to have cards ready to mail. There are fewer to send, sadly.
Grateful for new faucets - the ones in this house were so dated.
Grateful I decorated yesterday & it's not too shabby.
Grateful all my needs are met - and then some.

Fearless, wow the raccoon story!! What a challenge. Today there was a rat in my trap, so if there was only one in the garage, I have solved the problem (RIP Mr. Rat). I'll keep putting out traps just in case.
Grateful for a birdwatching walk with a friend this morning.
Grateful to be able to babysit my grandson today for a couple hours.
Grateful for a support group meeting tonight.

I’m grateful that I’ve finally realised how important it is to not only be grateful, but to regularly and actively remind ourselves of everything we have to be grateful for ❤️

Grateful to see Willow.
Grateful it’s payday.
Grateful (??) I woke up at 4 a.m. so I have more time to get stuff done.
Grateful for my children’s overall health. There are some families going through so very much.
Grateful Fearless is able to remember her father and channel memories into a better life for herself.
Grateful for my therapy appointment today.
Grateful for a light meeting day. Trying to get lots done before I shut it off to be with my family for my grandma’s funeral starting tomorrow. Actually trying is the wrong word. Planning/hoping/aspiring is more like it. I can’t seem to find the concentration I need.
Grateful for all of you.

CBS, I love when you post pics - that looks beautiful!
Fearless, your goal to reinvent yourself after losing your dad is really inspiring. I've always been closer to my dad than my mom (more in common with him for sure, the good and some of the bad). I can definitely do a lot more to help him and connect with him than I actually do.
NL, that's such a good reminder about healthy kids, and something I definitely take for granted. I hope all goes smoothly with your grandma's service, and that you can hold on to the sweet memories you have of her.
Turs, your rat-slaying abilities are beyond impressive - I would never be able to cope with that!

Grateful I was able to eat a bit healthier yesterday. Getting out of an "eh, who cares" cycle of overeating is always tough for me.
Grateful the soccer coach at my younger son's new school is so responsive and helpful.
Grateful my older son is developing a love of photography.
Grateful for a fairly restful day yesterday.
Grateful for telework, even (especially?) on days like today, when I need to go into the office.
Grateful for my sweet dogs.

Good job on eating healthier. I'm still in, 'eh, who cares' mode. If I don't get out of it I'll add another 10 lbs.

Grateful for sunshine today but it is chilly.
Grateful that I am going to bundle up and play tennis after work.
Grateful that we are finally getting some outdoor lights installed to accent our trees in the yard and illuminate our walkway to the front porch. Our front yard is very dark with just the porch light. Should be done before Christmas.
Grateful that I may get a painter to come do a little painting inside as well.
Grateful for my sobriety.

Grateful to wake up sober with Billie beside me on the bed.
We had raccoons in our attic when we moved in here over 30 yrs ago. I called the landlord and told him I want them relocated, NOT killed. So they came and put a trap on the porch roof outside the bedroom window. In a few days they had trapped a mama and her two babies and taken them to the countryside. They boarded up the hole in the siding and we never again had animals in the attic.

Grateful to have a bit of time to pop in. I should be packing for my trip but I don’t want to.
Grateful for presence of mind to help my kids.
Grateful that I’ll be the only person I have to put to bed for 3 nights.
Grateful to be flirting with the idea of spending money on a new to me indoor bike trainer. Grateful for the fuzzy and highly creative math that makes me think I can afford to do this.
Grateful for coffee. Slept straight through but so tired.
Grateful that my dream the other night was just a dream. Had a dream I was wearing a sports bra and shorts like a young girl and I got a couple of compliments from guys on basically my bravery in showing my love handles proudly. They really were encouraging and nice but i was like, um, that doesn’t seem optimal to be getting props for bravery for my soft middle.
Grateful my dream about a repair person being unkind to our dog was just a dream.
Grateful for all of you.
