Grateful to wake up with hope - & determination to get things accomplished. (So different than shaking & cowering in bed - reluctant to face the day.)

I am grateful for the fun and comfortable life I lead and the passionate, hardworking students and colleagues at my university. I am grateful for coffee and my dog's smiling face. I am grateful for a body that won't quit on me, even when I've been abusing it.

Grateful to be bothered to wash my hair and put a bit of make up on.
Grateful for a cold, but sunny day.
Grateful for a phone call from my lovely daughter.
Grateful for a phone call from my ex husband and grateful that we can be friends.
Grateful for my bacon sandwich and hot tea.
Grateful to you all for your kindness and support.

Grateful for a new month to fill with sober days.
Grateful for the kettle my Mom gave me a few years ago, it is a piece of her I use daily.
