Feeling the urge to post because I'm definitely still celebrating in the pity party arena.
I'm grateful for:
-amazing parents. They truly are sent from Heaven.
-an equally fabulous sister. We are opposites, but we have each others' backs.
-my beautiful, sweet, golden little boy. 5 and bright. He is the best thing I've ever done.
That is all I have right now. More will come. I know I have more in me.

My youngest son died of a drug overdose on Apr. 26, 2016 leaving his two children ages 10 and 15.
I am grateful because my oldest son is stepping up to be a father figure to them. He always wanted children and never had any of us own. He took my grandson to a basketball game all on his own. I didn't even know he had called him and arranged it. Tomorrow we are all going bowling.
I loved my youngest son who died soooo much. He was a great dad. I am so proud of my oldest now for taking care of his children.

I am grateful that I found the motivation, strength and commitment to truly want to stop drinking for good. In the past, I did not have the resolve I have today. I'm halfway through Allen Carr's book, "Stop drinking now". For many months now, I have been experiencing extreme depression if I drank too much. This is it; no more wine.
I'm grateful that I didn't drink today.
I'm grateful I have a nice house in a nice safe neighborhood.
I'm grateful I have enough money to pay all my bills without worrying.
I'm grateful I have 2 parents that love me and would do anything for me.
I'm grateful I stopped drinking early enough that my health could rebound.
I'm grateful that I live in the United States of America.
I'm grateful that SR is here for me to visit every day and help me keep this sober train on track and on time.
I'm grateful for all the wisdom I've gained by staying alive lo these many years.
I'm grateful that I'm finally learning how to cook and eat right, never too late to learn!
