Ahhhh, so grateful it's Sunday morning, it's my day off, I am hangover free, I can relax, and I have a yoga class today. I am grateful to myself for putting in a lot of work this week, and now I am grateful it's time for self care. Yesterday a yoga class I was looking forward to (and needed...) was canceled, and my mood is feeling the effects...I am so grateful I have more awareness of my thoughts and thinking patterns and I am aware when I am negative/ playing martyr. Grateful I can put on Louise Hay videos on YouTube and listen and try and reprogram my addict brain and not be a slave to negative thoughts...grateful for the awareness and gently redirecting my attention, even if it's over and over again.
So grateful for sober, non hungover morning times, grateful for the awareness that this time of day is very important, and so grateful for then Hazeldon website with thought for the day, each day a new beginning. Etc so great to have a daily prayer. Morning time as time for conscious contact with my Higher Power.
So grateful I have given up drinking and now go to meetings. I don't have kids yet, but hope to. I am so grateful that if I do, they will not have a mother who drinks. My mom is an alcoholic and drank a lot, and it creates so much negativity in the home. My family will not have to deal with that, and I think that's wonderful.
Grateful for the Grace of the Divine Goddess/Universe/Higher Power, which removed my urge to drink. That behavior of needing more more more is gone. I spend a lot of thinking about recovery, but not a lot of time thinking about booze. I am totally ok with that.
So grateful for different herb teas. A comfortable spot to type this right now. Coffee and wifi and a day off after 6 solid days of work, no obligations but in an hour and a half I walk to my yoga class and then AA...this day couldn't be more beautiful. Time to keep practicing gratitude. Thanks for reading everybody! Have a beautiful day.

Grateful that I share the human condition with all of you.
Grateful for better weather for long walks in the city.
Grateful for clarity every moment that I have it.
Grateful that the mind & life I'd thought I'd lost when I was drinking was really there, just waiting for me to sober up.

Grateful for a long cycle ride this morning
Grateful to be home before it really started raining!
Grateful for every little thing today (and some big things too! )
