Grateful for clever Rusty's writing style -- every day I read, pause, read again and then often smile.

Grateful for the thunder this morning, it may be unusual and feel odd but a change is good.
Grateful that, when I was tempted to lie in this morning (which would have made me late) I remembered how bad it used to be waking up .
Grateful that every day of sobriety is an easy day to wake up to.

Grateful for the "old-timers" like Gramps & Rusty that hang around and show us young-uns how it's done (exactly how many years now Rust?).

Grateful for another weekend full of possibilities.

Grateful for another day sober.

Grateful to be able to babysit my 3 year old twin great nieces this morning. Grateful they are toilet trained. Lol

Grateful the other night at a family event, when everyone but me was drinking, it barely registered with me that I was "different". And when it did, I was thrilled I was a non drinker!

Grateful it is the weekend.

Grateful for Lent I did something different this year. I decided to intentionally be sure I did one good deed a day. So far I have given a lunch ticket to a coworker who didn't have one, went to help my grandmother, took a coworker's workload from her and today I babysit. I would like to think I would have done these things anyway, but now this way it feels like I am giving, and not someone is taking. Now I need to plan tomorrow's deed. ....

I remember the movie with Jane Wyman and Rock Hudson, and I call it payback or giving back what was given to me.

It never gets used up because the more I give the more it keeps coming back to my bank to give again. Thanks for reminding me EQ.

Grateful to EQ for your wonderful post. It gave me something to think about -- recently I have a lot to be grateful for, and I'm not yet showing my gratitude through giving.

Grateful for changes over the last two weeks -- the mental obsession has eased.
Grateful to be able to laugh again.

Grateful I didn't drink last night after a high-stress day. Grateful it is finally warm here in Alberta, and I can take the dogs outside for some fresh air and exercise today : )

Grateful for another sober day. Yay!

Grateful for Rusty about to make another year. Wow.

Grateful for EQ sharing lent experience and I'm trying one this year too. To try really hard to not think or say negative/mean things about anyone, including when I'm angry. Proving to be a challenge but grateful I get the chance to be a better person every day.

Grateful to see you all here today as I'm feeling immense gratitude for one year sober. Your love, your generosity of spirit and your sharing of your lives helped me every day along the sober road. I hope I can do the same for you.

Marcher CONGRATULATIONS! One year is a delightful milestone. What a relief!

Rusty, if I were a betting woman I would bet you'll make it to the end of the month. So it looks like you got sober after a Saint Patrick's Day was over, huh?

Congratulations Marcher13 on completing your physical year by staying sober.

You have added greatly to the happiness of this old man as I feel the love for another daughter living life rather than the pain we feel going the other way.

Grateful for Grtgpa's sweet and tender posts. Grateful to know a man such as him, who is the same age as my drinking father, but has chosen to live this life spiritually without drinking.

Grateful for the free will to choose from many paths, and grateful for the paths we have chosen!

Grateful for daylight savings time, because it will be lighter later, and because I will see the sunrises more regularly again. God willing.
