Grateful for being able to hold my temper in until I'm feeling calmer

Grateful to have been able to take my Mum to get her hair done.

Grateful for central AC....it is 86 outside and i think the humidity is the same! my windows are steamed up from the outside in.
Grateful for a day off and the chance to catch up on chores....no parties or invites, but i work in the AM anyway.
Grateful not to waste my life drinking...I am able to so much more these days...
washing my little dog in silky shampoo, and trimming his long hair, washing the kitchen floor and washing sheets, cos it has been a sweatfest every night despite the AC!
Grateful for planning a NICE dinner....lambchops with pesto and little red potatoes, salad. Life is OK, not great, but i have hope.
and grateful to be able to move with energy...something that booze never gives me.

Grateful I slept through the night. No small miracle.
Grateful months ago I took today and Monday off. I need some serious rest.
Grateful to be invited to a baseball Game tonight.
Grateful my father will be there. Even though we are oil and water at least we try.
Grateful for Rusty's gig tonite. You guys have the corner on cool, Rusty. Have fun with it!

Grateful for some solid sleep again.
Grateful to have a huge summer outdoor party to go to today. And not be suffering social anxiety because I know most of the people who will be there.
Grateful though there will be lots of alcohol there, I won't be having any. (Just like there will be a moonbounce there, and a waterslide, and I won't be having any of that either!! Lol)
Grateful for nice albeit boiling weather. No wet basement.
Grateful to be able to board the dog so if a showing is scheduled I can relax. (The gathering is out of town.)

Grateful that the graveside service was just about perfect.
Grateful that none of the rest of the events of yesterday ended in tears or lasting anger.
Grateful that I didn't drink through any of it.
Grateful to be leaving tomorrow and I never, ever have to come back to this town again.
