I am thankful for... more than two and a half years sober and that I've learned to live without drink. I miss the happy buzz feeling. I don't miss the unstable moods, the acid reflux, the red face, the self-imposed isolation, and all the other stuff that came with the drink. Some say that you should take each day as it comes and all you can say is that you won't drink today. I don't believe it - I know I will never drink again.
