I am grateful for setting boundaries in my life where I need them.
I am grateful for recognizing things in my life that aren't ok with me.
I am grateful for realizing that some people and some behaviors aren't things I care to tolerate.
I am grateful for recognizing my own power to say 'no'. I don't have to tolerate the things that I don't care to.
I am grateful for processing old emotions.
I am grateful for taking care of things that should have been done long ago.
I am grateful for starting to realize that I am responsible for my life and my emotions. Other people are responsible for themselves. I have a right to my feelings. I have a right to take care of myself.
I am grateful for becoming a stronger person.
I am grateful that I'm a kind, caring person. I am grateful for realizing that this is not always a positive thing. Sometimes, I am too kind and caring... or maybe I just let it become directed in ways that aren't always positive.
I am grateful for SR and for reading a post today about gratitude that has made me think about the things I have to be grateful for in a tough situation.
I am grateful that my bf has stood by me and let me learn lessons that I needed to learn.
I am grateful that I can say I did the right thing for him and for me today.

The Language of Letting Go

"Gratitude
Sometimes in life, things happen too fast. We barely solve one problem when two new problems surface. We’re feeling great in the morning, but we’re submerged in misery by nightfall.
Every day we face interruptions, delays, changes, and challenges. We face personality conflicts and disappointments. Often when we’re feeling overwhelmed, we can’t see the lessons in these experiences.
One simple concept can get us through the most stressful of times. It’s called gratitude. We learn to say, thank you, for these problems and feelings. Thank you for the way things are. I don’t like this experience, but thank you anyway.
Force gratitude until it becomes habitual. Gratitude helps us stop trying to control outcomes. It is the key that unlocks positive energy in our life. It is the alchemy that turns problems into blessings, and the unexpected into gifts.
Today, I will be grateful. I will start the process of turning today’s pain into tomorrow’s joy. "
