Bedtime Gratitude-Part 36- All are welcome!
I am truly, truly thankful for the wise words of people on this forum.
I am grateful for making it through a sober lunch with a new friend - normally I'd be nervous around someone new and would drink away the fear, but I made it through without a drop and had a great time!
I am grateful for my husband, just for being him.

I am grateful twenty month old grandson in the crib. How can playing, eating, playing, bathtime and bottle and book time tire me out more then it does him? It is embaressing.
Grateful I didnt drink the beer or the wine I saw in their fridge. I thought EQ come on, you're just thirsty. You just want something to drink, not alcohol. I am hungry, and tired. Two out of four.
Grateful my sixteen year old step granddaughter just got home early from her job. Shes got the sniffles. She needs rest.
Grateful I heard lots of birds singing outside today. Took me by surprise.

Grateful I was willing and able to do a bunch of stuff to help my mom this evening, that I didn't immediately run home when my brother started fussing, but made sure I finished my task and that Mom was situated before I left.
And grateful for Simon's Cat. Check him out on YouTube. He is the very silly counterbalance to Henri le Chat Noir.
Love and hugs,
Eddie
P.S. RZ, I used to be more attentive and adventuresome in my movie choices. I loved not just B&W films, but even silent and/or subtitled ones, especially German movies from the '20s and '30s. I guess I'm too lazy to commit to reading subtitles anymore...
Grateful my 16 yr old stepgranddaughter has talked me into watching the Lifetime Movie "Stalked at 17". Crazy as it is, it is the perfect bonding movie. Grateful the baby is asleep. Watching with her is so fun. And good talking points too.
Grateful to go out and see the matinee movie "Identity Theft".
Grateful to give my mom a visit after and see the movie "Argo" at her house on Comcast On Demand. It's the second time I saw it, the first for her.
Grateful I'm getting ready to snuggle under the covers.

Grateful that I and my family was able to take my parents out for a meal to celebrate their Diamond wedding anniversary, grateful that my Dad seemed to enjoy it.
Grateful to have my parents and for all that they have taught me.
Grateful to have a warm, comfy bed to go to.
Grateful I was able to be chauffeur.
Grateful to you all for your ongoing support.

So very grateful this evening that I pushed myself a little and went to the local Unity (Church). Glad I was open-minded enough to get past the largely superficial similarities to "traditional" Christian church and REALLY HEAR the message. A year ago I probably would have walked out.
And grateful to have fun making pizzas with some boys in the substance abuse program at the place I volunteer. It was the first time I went and I'm glad I did.
Love and hugs,
Eddie
