Grateful for leaves and clogged rain gutters to clean out today, took my mind off even worse things.

Grateful that I took the time several times during the course of the day when internal mindchatter or stress got overwhelming to have learned to have developed the common sense to take a brief time out for myself to just stop...breathe, and then get back in the game.

Ain't it amazing how something so simple & easy can make so much difference? Good for you!!

Grateful for flexibility and spontaneity. I got to go on an unexpected bike trail ride this morning because I was willing to change my plans.

Also grateful for finally going back to sleep in my actual bed last night with room to snuggle with my kitty-boys. I had been on the sofa for months and I'm glad I made the change.

Love and hugs,
Eddie

How right you are Eddie Z.

I'm grateful that I'm learning to have the capacity to open my heart in my everyday enviornment. To be more aware of my surroundings and even the strangers that cross my path on a given day, and given the opportunity to acknowledge them with a hello or a smile, even if I'm never to see them again. I've been amazed at what comes back to me when I exercise these small gestures. It enhances the day 1000% and it truely works, yet its a major work in progress for me.

I second that, 'IndaMiricale'.

Grateful for inner strength, going to bed sober again with two hard fought evenings in a row behind me. NFL playoff games tomorrow! WooHoo.

Grateful day 8 was better than 7. grateful for moments of happiness and most of all grateful to be sober.

Gratreful that I am aware that some days are just going to be excruciatingly difficult and I can get through them nonetheless by focusing on the fact that the blessings will far outweigh the hardships in sobriety.

Thanks, RZ and Phil!

Grateful for getting at least one load of dishes done, even if they're still in the washer...

Also grateful for Step One and knowing that I am powerless over my crazy thinking. I just have to not act on it. Glad I don't have to beat myself up over my insanity.

Love and hugs,
Eddie

Grateful for the past, and that I am stronger and more humble in the broken places.
