Morning Gratitude-Part 16
-I'm grateful to have internet access again
-I'm grateful our son seems to be feeling better after some gas pain kept him up and crying last night
-I'm grateful for the consistent example of living in the present that I get from animals
-I'm grateful that I should be able to make a noon meeting today
-I'm grateful that it's almost pay day.

I am grateful I had a pleasant drive home last night and an uneventful Thanksgiving at my parents, and for dealing with family issues in ways other than the big glass of wine that was always within reach!
Grateful to take the time throughout each day to appreciate and take inventory of all the wonderful things in my life. And that includes all of you!
Fandy... missing you more each day.
Have a terrific Tuesday everyone!

grateful to be back thanks.....i managed to get myself sick running around.....and it walloped me backwards into a small stint of a pity-party....(Musinex DM is some nasty stuff that made me incredibly nauseated, it took me 2 days to figure that one out)!
however, i learned here that a new day is a new chance to make an improvement in my life.....i'ved also learned that although the SAM-e i take most days doesn't give me "incredible joy", it really DOES help me function...so i should keep taking it although it's a bit pricey...along with St.JohnsWort...especially when we only get about 8.5 hours of lightness here.
surprisingly what pulled me out of the funk this time was KNOWING it's just me,myself and I at work....no one to cover my buttisimo these days (we've been trying to hire for ages, but HR works backwards).
so I am up and at 'em and moving towards the shower.....i will post more as i am now having coffee for the first time in 3 days too....
BTW, the grat-packs here are very important to me too.....it kind of validates quitting booze for me.

Grateful for another sober awakening. Grateful that sober awakenings are now the norm and not the exception... And tho I'm nearly out of gas, I'm grateful that my counseling appt is just a short walk down the street. There's always lots to be grateful for as long as I'm sober.
-I am grateful to be helpful at work
-I am grateful for the gifts of a life lived honestly
-I am grateful that my wife called to tell me our son is feeling better
-I am grateful we have a microwave oven at work
-I am grateful for little meditation/prayer/whatever "timeouts" during the day

OK we are approaching dark at 4PM, but I am very grateful to have gotten out of my head today..coming to work was ok (I am in my own office and didn't cough on anyone). I am grateful that I did not dwell on my own stuff today. i was productive and pro-active and feel much better for it.
i might not look so great today, but doing is better than not doing. i plan on curling up with the fur-children and a big cup of lemon herbal tea...followed by early bed and hopefully a night of better sleep.

i put my gratitude in the wrong place oops. so here it is:
* my mother, grandmother, sister and future brother in law
* new christmas tree and xmas decor!
* char-paw
* my face clearing up again
* additional checks coming in
* money and ability to move such a far distance
* finding a new church i feel comfortable at
* sunday luncheons with mom and grams
* mickers (the man who sticks around as a friend to watch me heal)
* desire to start a new sober life, AA meetings, SR people
* my morning starbux and the ability to purchase them daily
* working car for transportation to meetings
* people who really want to help those struggling
* ability to still love after all of that
* time: to help me still make this life better than its been
PHEW - thats a lot!

Grateful to be up early this morning, once again feeling good and looking forward to the day. Plan to get some more exercise in today and a few more odds and ends completed along with business commitments.
Grateful to be looking forward to the holiday season this year and having some quality family time with my kids, hubby, and family.
Grateful to be implementing some new holiday traditions, such as who can bake the best Christmas cookie of the season -- everyone is to choose a recipe or invent a new recipe, we bake them on the same day... and we or an unbiased person we know will judge the best one. Kids and hubby are very excited. I think I have a great idea... stay tuned I will let you know what I select when I finalize my decision.

So, it's a windy, rainy still-dark morning, I get didn't get nearly enough sleep, the dog threw up in the middle of the night ....
And though I am a bit grouchy, it's the grateful kind of grouchy.
Grateful that coffee and carpet cleaner solve a world of problems. Still grateful to wake up in the morning regardless of the weather. Grateful for my dog who I love despite vomiting and other exciting dog adventures. And grateful to know that this too shall pass.
