Grateful that I'm now free to explore all the feelings I used to wash away with wine.
Grateful that when I cry these days it's more often tears of gratitude than sorrow. Grateful for the love from my canine kids and grateful they're not shy about showing it.
And, as always, I'm so grateful to those who make this site a safe and comfortable place.

Grateful for my new town...I feel vibrant and alive. And SO grateful that tomorrow I am making time for the first bike ride in 3 weeks...and in 3 more weeks, I will be able to get a new bike. So very happy and very grateful for all the good in my life. Friends, family, and this forum.

Grateful that my son asked me to be his "transition helper" today. That means that after he swam 16 laps I got to help him dry his feet off and get his shoes on for a 1 mile run. He got 2nd place!

Grateful for a good day. Grateful for it cooling down after sunset so we can get our evening walk in. Grateful that my neighbor's dogs are sweet and well behaved and get along with mine. And, as always, grateful for another sober day.

Grateful that I was able to set boundaries with my actively drinking alcoholic sister, decide what I did and did not want to be around, and put the day's focus back on my mom's birthday and not my sister.
