I am grateful to be an alcoholic...
I do not regret the past, nor wish to shut the door on it. That's how I got to where I am today. And I am grateful for that. My life is alot more calm now, I can enjoy my family, I have new friends, and a world of people for support. Once I finally accepted that I was alcoholic, things got better from there. I have a SUPER sponsor, I work the steps, read my Big Book, attend lots of meetings, and pray daily. I am grateful for each and every one of you, because without you, where would I be? Bless you all and hava an awesome night! chrissie
thanks Chrissie
I used to worry about 'wasted years', but I'm starting to really see from what I've learned here that nothing is really wasted - things are learnt, experiences are stored, and characters are forged (brilliantly) in the challenges to be met again and again
I'd say something like 'bless us all every one', but that's way too Tiny Tim (the Dickens character, that is...not the ukulele guy...oh, never mind !)
bless you too, Chrissie
night all

For me, I see new vistas opening, ways I can help others
especially in the area of suffering women with past abuse
issues and addiction. I plan now to finish my degree and
counsel someday. If i had not gone before, how could I
help such as these? I am humbled and grateful if God
were to see fit to use my life in this way.
