8 Days NC
So I have 8 solid days of NC… A few of them were hard and other days I was ok… Today for a quick minute I found myself worrying if he is talking to someone else.. Then the better part of me said I don’t want him anyways.. I am a little nervous to hear those words tho, when the time does come.. Right now I just have to focus on today and not worry about the things that are not in my control. Wish it was as easy as it sounds.. When do you really stop worrying about what they are doing, who they are with, etc.?
The way that helps me distract myself from obsessing is to do "something else"...anything else...that will take my mind to a better place. I stop doing what I am doing and "do something else" and often tell myself that obsessing is "not an option". (I quit smoking using this same method and haven't had a cigarette in almost 5 years, not a puff.)
Taking a walk, going to a meeting, meeting a friend for coffee, reading a good book that will take my mind someplace better, joining a club, finding a hobby and throwing myself into it....all ways that take me out of myself and to a place of happiness and enjoyment rather than worrying and "what if'ing".
Give it a try, right now, make a decision to at least go for a walk and while walking thing about what hobby might be fun or what kind of club you would like to join...gyms often have very inexpensive trial periods that just may do the trick.
The way I stop obsessing is to stop obsessing and doing anything I can think of to take my mind somewhere good.
Hugs

When I decided no contact with my AXGF, I deleted all of her contact information from my phone, deleted every picture on my phone and computers, and created a ***** filter that would intercept any email she sent and delete it automatically.
And when she got around my blocking her calls, I simply changed my number (even though, to be honest, I didn't want to and was really left with no choice).
My attitude was the "new guy", since he 13th stepped with her, deserved whatever he got, although I'm eternally grateful to him for taking her off my hands.
In other words...when I decided I was done, No Contact was as easy as breathing.
