Made it through the night...
Made it through the night...
Went to the first of two fancy parties this weekend without my husband...
And I made it!
I got dressed up, looked great, had fun, and only a couple of people took it further when I said he couldn't make it tonight.
Those people said, "is everything okay?"
And I'd say, "Yes, thank you."
So now this same group of people will be the group at the bigger party tomorrow night and the remainder of the people at tomorrow's party I won't know...
So I got through the worst of it. Those that were going to care to ask about him, asked it tonight...and tomorrow it'll be old news.
PHew!

Good for you for having fun and enjoying yourself. It's too easy to isolate in fear or shame when we really have nothing to fear or be ashamed of.
Take quiet time for yourself and balance it all with good fun and one day soon you will heal and not worry about what others may ask or think.
Hugs
