Lifelong Codependent
This is a wonderful healing thread -
I will share my e, s, & h ~
I started my path to Al-Anon at the age of eight - my parents finally divorced and I decided it was my responsibility to go live with my Dad to make sure he didn't drink too much.
No one told me this, no one made me - I just decided this all on my own and didn't tell anyone why I did this ~ until I got in recovery.
I cried at night and missed my mom and brothers horribly and finally I went back to my Mom's house.
I believe that's when they started saving a chair for me because trust me - from 8 yrs old until I walked into the rooms of recovery on September 3, 2003 at 39 yrs old - I was truly on a downward spiral out of control in my codie world.
So grateful for recovery and how it has changed my life
pink hugs
