Leslie, how wonderfully expressed. Your statement of being able to feel the compassion from a distance because you are free sort of woke me up and made complete sense. I've been in such a state of confusion as to whether or not what I feel is healthy or not. And I only realized in the last week that it's not just him not being good for me, it's me not being good for him. He is enabled enough in his life and I just helped his habit even more.
