I just want to express my appreciation for all of you - there are so many kind and compassionate people here - you listen and send your support in such a real and sincere way - i am trying to learn how to do that - i try to keep my thoughts balanced and my focus where it should be - i pray for all the hurt both for the addicts and for those of us who love them - i am sorry that any of us has to be here but so thankful that there is a "here" to be

That is so sweet litehorse. Yes it would be nice if we were all here because of another reason. I keep asking myself what blasted bad karma I did in my past life to be living this one but then again, it's always something, if not addiction I assume I'd be struggling with something else I "chose" as my path to grow. According to my shrink everything that happens to me happens for a reason and it's all my path and she gets in there deep at times telling me I "chose" this path intentionally so according to her all this was predestined before I was born. That gets far out there but you know sometimes it makes sense. We are all on a journey. Sometimes it's fun, sometimes it's not, sometimes it's just tough.

Meditation - Your shrink sounds just like ME! She must have read "Journey of Souls" too. If you want to know more about where she gets that stuff, pick up a copy. It's a game-changer!
Litehorse - You are so right. This wonderful place certainly does give us a soft place to land and lord knows we need that. Restores the soul, that's for sure.
