OT?: New strength..New Tattoo
Just thought I'd share my new tattoo with you all. Inspiration for it came from you guys. It's not done yet, clearly. I still have another 1.5 hours to go probably. I last 3 hours getting this done, but I couldn't sit through any more, it hurt so bad. The tattoo artist, Justin, has been tattooing 7 years and never seen a girl sit through 3 hours on her ribs. He really loved it, and gave me a great deal on it =D
In October the rest of the petals will be coloured in red, then the negative space in all the petals will be filling with orange. May colour in the parchment as well, we'll see.
What do you all think?

Cessy got a new nose ring!!! (urgh) didn't realize that 'healing' a nose piercing could be so involved!!! Shoulda done my research first!!!
Have you had a tattoo before??
I don't have it in me, I obviously was in a tattoo place getting my nose done, I watched in aw as people did this-- I think it's just to 'permanant' 4 me. A piercing I can take out at any time, so I don't have a problem with those.
I love artfilled bodies, and find it intriguing. I think we all have reasons for body mod.
Like I said, my nose ring is symbolic of my struggles, and the regaining of 'power over self'.

It's really weird that some of you can't see it...Well..for those that can't, it's in my gallery at my profile.
Ann I promise you that not all tattoos hurt. Depends on where you put them. Shoulder blades barely hurt.
Cessy - Nose rings are great! I promise it's worth it. I've had mine done for..4 years now and I still love it. Yes, this is my second tattoo. My first one is on my left shoulder, it's a shooting star with Dad 1960-1993 written with it. My tattoo is definitely a reminder of the struggles I've been through. The fact that you can never give up hope, but you need to have strength, not just hope, to make it through.
I wish everyone could see the picture...I'll add it again and maybe that will work?

I'm too much of a chicken for piercing or tattoos ... only have my ears pierced once.
However, I dig the symbolism..... I colored my hair midnight black.... that was crazy enough! Although - after leaving my exAH 11 years ago.... I near shaved my head..... cut off all my locks for a boy hair cut. The hair of my past .... needed to go!!!!

It's going to be so amazing once I finish it in October. I'm pretty sure I'll fill the banner in. It can't hurt anymore than it already did, aha.
He did an amazing job. The flowers? Are the flower for strength. =)
