My AS is on 65 mg of methadone a day and wants to start on Lexapro of 10 - 20 mg a day for depression and anxiety.

Anyone have any information on this...good...bad..unsafe?

Best thing, talk to the doctor who prescribed the Lexapro.

I don't have any info. I just googled it, and only found one source I'd consider credible, which was from a pharmacist and she said that they can be prescribed together.

My insurance has a pharmacy hotline you can call and ask questions..you may want to see if you have something similar or just call any pharmacy. They would be the best ones to answer your question. I've called pharmacist, several times, when I'm unsure about a drug's side effects or just have a question.

I don't have any info except that I take Lexapro for a few years now for depression and anxiety and I love it. It has helped me a lot. I don't know how it would interact with methadone. I would have your son ask the doctor as the others have suggested.
