I would suggest that you get Legal Aid give you something in writing about when a lawyer will be available for you and ask the Judge to remand the case until then.
It won't solve your problem immediately, but it will ensure that you get good representation in court.

Absolutely do this. Its never a wise move to go in front of a judge when you don't have an attorney but the other party does.
