WELCOME, flowerchild. glad you found us but sorry for the circumstance. the addict in my life is my husband but i too am a recovering addict. i can tell you that your son's addiction has nothing to do with you, it is because of the choices that he makes. i understand how you feel, i raised 7 kids basically single, been married 21 yrs and seperated far more than together due to his addiction, i know how hard it can be.

sounds like you have been a very good mom, you've probably done all you know to do and then some, now it time for you to take care of you.

i came here all broken and actually thought i was insane. these loving and caring people have been a life saver for me. you are not alone in this, i'm keeping you, your son and the rest of your family in my prayers

Welcome to SR New Jersey Girl.
I'm the Mother of an addict son, he is 26 and sittting in jail. That is what happens to drug addicts......jails, mental wards or the cemetary.
Yes, it is very scarey and sad.

Thankfully I've had enough recovery sense not to lose it all along with him.

Learn what you can about Letting Go, Detaching with Love.......

Life goes on, we will love our sons and not the addiction.

Peace to you, keep yourself cool, calm and true.
