((((NinaKay)))) What helps me have hope sometimes, is to go up to the alcoholic and substance abuse forums and read a bit... there are folks there in recovery who would NOT be if they had not had a spiritual awakening... and some of those came in jail.
Open NA and AA meetings are even more powerful.

I'm sorry too, but at least the waiting for the other shoe to drop is over. I've been there too and it's a scary place to be. Just for today, your son is safe and warm and I hope this will prove to be a turning point in his life.

I want to thank each of you for your love and support, for your hugs, prayers, and encouragement, too. I still haven't heard from my son which is so unusual for him, compared to when he was arrested in the past. I'm really sortof glad, because I don't think that I'd deal with it very well if I heard his voice. Especially if there was fear in his voice. I'm so tired.

Hi Nina. Im sorry Im coming in on this so late. Im sorry for the pain you are neduring right now. I too just want to share a hug with you and hope for a good day for you today. I pray you find some serinity today and simple joy of knowing your addict is safe today. I hope this is his wake up call. How are you doing today? Drop a little line to let us Codies who care about you, know how your doing when you can.

Sorry I am seeing this so late. You did fantastic when you got the news and I am proud of you.
This may be a wake-up call for him or it may not; but whatever, it is HIS responsibility and he is accountable for what the does beyond this too!! I hope he gets the right message!

Just remember that your son's HP might be putting him through the fire so he can refine him...just like refining a precious metal. To refine the metal the heat has to be turned up. So maybe that's the plan, Nina. I just know my HP has allowed some things that I thought were horrible. But hindsight now shows me why that was in the plan. It was to refine me and my AD, to get us to where we need to be.
