Thanks for all your great replies.

Done did hit the nail on the head. After not seeing or hearing from our AD for over a year, I would or I better to say "should" be happy that she calls at all and wants to come over.

But as Done said, she does not and has not treated us with any respect. and that does make all the difference. Mr M and I almost feel as if she does things deliberately to hurt us, even though we know that's not true. But without respect for us or our feelings, I guess that's how we feel.

You are so right, Done, I wouldn't mind the last minute stuff (I never used to) but without respect, it doesn't work.

Thanks to you all. We had a nice day and evening even without her. SD called us and she was glad that we didn't give in to her addict sister. She doesn't think we should allow her to do that because it's not even good for her to think that she can have so little regard for the fact that we have lives too.

(((((Marteen))))))

This is soooo hard isn't it. You are sooo lucky to have Mr M for support. I sometimes wish I had someone here to tell me....."get a grip"...lol.

Anyway, hope your Easter was as wonderful as you ARE!!

Marteen,
No words of advise, just hugs coming to you. I know how hard it was to say NO to her, but you did what you had to do. I pray that she learns how to treat you well, and show you some respect.
Hugs,
