Searching For Mental Health Prof
This is my first visit to this site, and I'm hoping someone out there can refer me to a mental health professional who may specialize in the alcoholic in the Phoenix, Arizona area. My husband is a sober member of AA 12 years, 11 months. He needs to find a therapist to go to who understands the "quirks" of the alcoholic brain. HE has requested that I help him find someone as he is so.........depressed right now, and continues to go through bouts of depression on a continual basis. If anyone out there can help, we would surely appreciate it. Thanks.
Susan
Welcome to our forum. I will check and see what I can find, and ask a few others who may know for your area and get back to you. Congratulations to hubby for his continuing sobriety and for his willingness to get help.
Check back and we should have something for you.

Hi Susan, and welcome to the recovery forum!
That link will take you to a web page for the American Society of Addiction Medicine. If you will click on their "membership directory" link, you will be able to search for physicians and psychiatric pros in your area who are addiction savvy.
Hugs,
Smoke
