I'm new to all of this. My boyfriend is an alcoholic and he knows it. When i had first met him I thought he was a fun loving kinda guy who drinks socially. Years have passed and I came to accept that he is an alcoholic. I decided that i needed to find help for myself on dealing with his illness. Im sure all of you know its an emotional rollarcoaster and i dont know how to handle this.

Welcome to SR mami and you are not alone. Please continue to read and post here and learn. If there is Al-Anon or a counselor you could go to for some face to face support, I would suggest that as well. Living with an alcoholic is no fun at all, but you do have choices. There are ways to either peacefully/happily live with one using detachment or you can leave the situation altogether. Don't ever feel "stuck" b/c the years will continue to pass you by until you decide to make a change for yourself. Good luck and stick around a while.
