Welcome to SR Amanda... let me get the ball rolling.

lol = Laugh out loud
A = Alcoholic
ex-abf = ex- Alcoholic boy friend
AH = can be Alcoholic/addict husband (when they use W is wife)
MIL = Mother in law (F = father etc)

That is a start... others will help out too

AH is addict/alcoholic husband (same difference really)
BTDT is "been there done that"
XABF= ex addict boyfriend GF for girlfriend
OT= off topic

Hope that helps a little.

Lost, wonderfull question, I had trouble too.
I had often said "Been there, done that", but to see BTDT I drew a blank, (smile)

Did anyone mention ODAT, = One Day At A Time.

Of course SR is sober recovery

RA is tricky, I have seen it used for "recoverying alcoholic ", but I worry someone might take it for "rageing alcoholic.

PC was used one day, in that thread it meant Politically Correct, probably an easy one , but not for me on that day.

Keep coming back, I am so glad you found us here on SR, this is the greatest site ever. Rember when reading, take what you can use and leave the rest.

Chy, I love the list, will keep it, but I will misplace it of course, so when need it I can't find it.

I do think IMO we should keep these to a minimum, as we have sometimes over 100 visitors, might scare them off if new to a computer too.

I always thought ATM meant "at the moment"?

And one I'm guilty of probably overusing:

IIRC: If I remember correctly
