Try not to speculate so much about the "what ifs" of the job position. I'm sure that you are more than capable of the position and obviously, THEY think so too or they wouldn't have asked if you were interested. You will go through the standard "training" regimen that they have set and I'm sure you will do fine. Everyone makes mistakes and you might too, but there is no shame in it. Just think of all you will learn and the extra dough.
The proximity to your house is optimal. You could even walk there if you ever had to!! The doggies will be fine and you will be doing something all for you. Go for it woman and keep us posted.
