Update on my sister...

I just found out that she is going into a 9 month in-house rehab. She will not be able to talk to anyone for 30 days. Its a christian rehab and she is supposedly already reading the bible.

Guess I'm just so numb from all the "talk".....I'll believe it when I see it.

Different things work for different folks and the time is right when the time is right.

... my son got sober in a regular 28-day program... daughter completed 3 of them and was kicked out of a Christian reahb, then finally got sober for her own reasons. Nephew and wife got sober in a Christian rehab. Mom and sis white-knuckled it (mom for 25 years, sis for 1). Mr. Big and I may be what is sometimes referred to a "spontaneous recovery" or "maturing out"... or maybe we were just ready at the same time.

Sending prayers that this can be your sister's time... (((Jessica)))

Hope it works this time. But think of it like this, if she didn't have some desire to be sober, she would not be in a rehab center.

I'm so glad she made the decision to do it. Try and keep positive. And offer her encouragement. You might not be able to talk, but you might be able to send cards and letters.
