He's in no more pain

Hello,

It has been years since I have been here. I finally left my alcoholic nine years ago for my own health and for my daughter. She is now 19. He remarried but still tried to maintain control over me all these years. His demons and alcoholism finally caught up to him and he died a few weeks ago. I am heart broken for my daughter and now feel like I am idolizing a man that was so awful to me. I have moved on, but I will miss the man I first met 25 years ago. I just cannot believe he is gone. He had such a control over me to this day. I'm not sure why I am writing other than letting it out to people that understand. Thanks for listening. Worriedwife2

I'm sorry to hear that ww and over time you will heal from this.

As always, this is a time to focus on yourself and your Daughter. Take good care of yourself.

So sorry...it's very sad...I think it's normal to remember the good things about him now that the drama, control, and bad behavior are also ended.
Sending you warm hugs and hope you can find some peace of mind, give yourself all the time you need. My heart goes out to you and your daughter.
Peace,
B.

The human heart is its own master. It contains mysteries and enigmas that are often simply too much for us. But know you are entitled to feel how you feel. You don't have to question yourself or explain yourself. Just be. Peace to you.
