Happy Father's Day to Moms and Dads
Just wanted to wish everyone a very Happy (and hopefully CALM) Father's Day. This is to the dads who do and care so much for our precious kiddos, and for the moms who have to fill dual roles. I salute you.

In the past few years, I've come to understand a lot more about my dad than I ever did before. He has always done the best he could, even when I couldn't see it this way at all. My changed perspective is totally due to the growth and learning that I've experienced so far in recovery.
Again, as a result of what I've learned so far in recovery, I've been able to take the risk of telling him how much I appreciate all he's done. It felt awkward and a little scary. I'm so glad I have let him know, though--I think it's done both of us a world of good.
COD, I join you in saluting fathers (and parents in general) everywhere! It's gotta be the hardest job in the world, but the most important.
