Glad to hear the sting lessened at least a bit - irk!
I went through a really rough patch 5 years ago and wound up seeing my sober XABF and starting something of a friendship with him in which I predictably got hurt yet again. Funny how when we are down and out we so often find some way to make it worse! Not sure why we work this way.

HH - as one who had to deal with a Narcissist for 50 years (sister - I finally went NO CONTACT) do not look back and waste the real estate in your brain on this guy! And he WILL be back! You were his "supply" and he's moved to his next victim but he'll exhaust that "supply" at some point and come back to get it from YOU. The worst thing to a N is to be ignored (not allowed their "supply"). The BEST thing for you is to IGNORE him when he shows back up.
