I left in the 70s, but...
1. Never ever ever spending another night wandering around the skeezy parts of town with a junkie looking for a fix
2. Never ever again having a disgusting, slobbering drunk force himself on me
3. No more late night, incoherent phone calls
4. No more wrecked cars
5. No more being trapped in a car with a drunk driver
6. Not ever having a cop search my purse again at a bus station
To sum it up, no more addict bs /chaos of any sort, EVER.
That I put up with this sh*t for 4 years stuns me, even now, 40+ years later
