A breakthrough
I'm happy for you even though 5 days isn't enough time to make any educated guesses about what's going to happen next. I really hope he embraces Recovery & doesn't just focus on Staying Sober. Hopefully for him it IS as simple as just deciding to quit; that would be pretty rare. Most people need to develop new, better tools for dealing with life & all it's emotions.
So how about YOU? What are you doing for YOU since you found that Celebrate Recovery doesn't meet in your area? His recovery is for him to manage & if you're not careful you may find yourself hinging too much hope on something that is firmly out of your control. Have you picked up any reading materials? Have you read the sticky threads here in this forum or read around any of the other forums?
I'm sending you lots of prayers, but that doesn't take the place of education when it comes to addiction. ((((hugs))))

Chiming in support and prayers for your family. I also hope you are getting some help for you - counseling, online meetings, confiding in friends - all that. It is easy to make them, their recovery, and their issues the object of focus, but YOU are very, very important and deserve peace.

12 days. He's given his heart to Jesus and is trying to change everything with the help of God. We are hopeful. I am trying to do Celebrate Recovery materials while I wait for local meetings to begin again. I covet your prayers.
That is great news! Let go and let God! Wonderful!
