Ugh. Well I am done. I'm laying in bed at the hospital now. I share a room with an elderly woman who has dementia. It is sad. I fell bad for her husband. She has no idea why she is here and she wants to leave.

I feel awful right now. Just want to bawl. Mom and AH left, so it's just me. I'm having a really hard time falling asleep.

I just did some incredibly boring legal research, which I'd be glad to pass along in the interest of your getting some sleep.

Are you sure having him visit is conducive to your ability to rest peacefully? If you don't want him in there, you just have to tell the nursing staff. OTOH, if it's less stressful to let him visit, then your call.

Hugs, hope you feel more comfortable soon.

Of course you are groggy and all of that chit. Take a little rest, enjoy the peace there. Make sure that telephone is not hooked up.

Just remember, your visitors now are all from SR. Giving you a gentle hug, now rest.

Ah will not be back. I only briefly remember him being here and no, he is not coming back. I don't even really know why he was here.... No clue

There, unfortunately is no peace here. The dementia lady is upset, loud, and argumentative with her husband. All my alarms keep going off and I hurt really bad. probably won't be able to sleep until I get home or they give me something to sleep. I am very crabby right now. I have no window either and am just totally surrounded by the curtain.

Oh well. I'll be fine soon. I just need to deal with it for a while.

Hopefully I'll be out first thing in the morning. They will be taking the catheter out soon.. Thank God!!! I hate those things. And I was just now allowed to eat, so I'm munching on a light sandwich. I also just got a nicotine patch, and that has made all the difference. I do hurt though. Pretty damn bad.

I know, those d@mn catherers suck. I've been in and out of hospitals so much 10 years ago, ok, 14 years ago. I found out that I actually liked it. (lol). Yes, I am sick in the head.

Do you have a TV?

Make the best out of this rest.

I do know you are hurting, just take your time. You will be back to that awesome person in no time. Actually, you are there already.

Hugs free
We're here with you

You'll be out soon--just hang in and ask for ear plugs.

I'm glad it's over, now on to getting better. . . .

I did review your plan B. I think it's a good one. If at all possible, wait till you are better. OK? Don't do it in your house. Public place. OK

Now are they going to give you dinner also? If not excruciating pain, how was mom last night?

ok, will stay with you the night, you can always tell me to stfu, or go away. That's ok. You rest.

Coming out of surgery is not fun :/

I wonder if someone can bring you some earplugs? They make all the difference sometimes!!

Or if you have headphones - when I need sleep and it's noisy I use the app Relax M. P. or the website www.naturesoundsfor.me and create some appealing white noise. It has helped me sleep through all sorts of things.

I know you know this since you're a nurse to, but are they medicating your pain adequately? I know you know this too but you gotta stay on top of that pain girl! Wishing you a speedy recovery and I hope that Foley is out by now. I've never had one and I don't imagine I would like it lol.
