People who are victimized by abuse sometimes do behave in ways that are harmful to themselves and others, and they can benefit greatly by finding better ways to respond, but I would never label such a person as an "abuser."

I think I posted the wrong article, dangit. The one I was really looking for had a spin on it explaining if you felt yourself as being the abuser, it was more than likely a defensive mechanism. I will try my hardest to find the article that's stuck in my mind.
