I successfully burst his balloon about doing it when I told him that same night that I would sell this one the moment he moved in next door.

Update:
First birthday party done - the laser tag one with the kids and their friends. Party went fine, and I have been able to be cordial and pleasant. Heading to MIL house for family party in a few hours. He has not any more to drink that I can tell, though he reeks of a vodka 3 day bender something serious. That smell just keeps reminding me why I am filing for divorce. I hate that foul, sour smell.
The kids seem like they are having a normal day, and I am pleased for that.
