Wanted: inexpensive gift ideas for the holidays.
Ophelia.....Good One!!!
Also...Ophelia....have you ever checked out the "Recovery Follies"...at the bottom of SR page? If not...please do so...I think you would make a good addition.
I was here for a long time, before I stumbled across it. I now read it every day...because a good laugh is good medicine.....

Don't know if this was mentioned, but with a big bag of Epsom salts and a few essential oils, you can make lovely bath salts. You can find recipes online for various scrubs (sugar, salt, coffee) and even for fizzy bath stuff. If you stick to the less expensive oils (most citrus oils are quite reasonable, as are mints and lavender, while rose is through the roof), you can do this for very little.
As much as I enjoy making up the salts/scrubs, I enjoy the process of packaging them even more--I use all sorts of jars and jugs, and then I decorate each one w/some ribbon or twine and some lovely little piece of nature like a sprig of cedar along with a twig of red berries, or a pretty feather or two from my collection.
You can also get small spray bottles or roll-on bottles inexpensively on Amazon and use your essential oils to make room freshener sprays or roll-on oils to calm, energize, etc. It's great fun!
This is a good source for reasonably priced oils--if I remember correctly, they have free shipping starting at $25: https://www.iherb.com/
