Stung

I feel like this is more of a poem than an actual letter from the addict's POV, so I feel somewhat silly critizing it. However, the thing that irks me is that "let me fall" is a request, further, from my own experience it was more of a "watch me fall" request. He didn't want me to walk away from him or leave him alone so that he could see how low his bottom was. He wanted to take me there with him because misery really does love company. And the"if you truly love me" line makes me want to barf. If you truly loved yourself in a healthy way then I could truly love you in a healthy way too. But I guess that's the meaning of "let it begin with me."
