Reverse Psychology
Choublak - You do make me laugh.....good question though.
I am not savvy to all technology but I am betting there is some type of security device that can be installed on the car to keep it from starting unless you use a code or such - might call a car alarm company and ask.

There are breathalyzer devices that forces the driver to blow clean before the car will start. These are often required of people who have a DUI as a condition of retaining their license after an offense.
For example: Smart Start Alcohol Monitoring
Just a thought.

I have not bought her any alcohol or cigarettes. The thought of buying the cigarettes repulses me even more than the alcohol does.
I can easily completly disable the car. Our home is at my business though. When she gets that determined to buy booze it's pretty amazing what she will do to get to the store. One time she drove a truck because I forgot to take the keys out. Another time she found the keys to a pickup that had the bed off it at the time. No tail or brake lights but it didn't matter to her. She drove it. Kinda supprised that she has not tried to drive a tractor.
Because our home is at my business and I owned it before we were married I will not be the one that is leaving. I have an appointment with the lawyer in 3 weeks to start the process. The fianaces are going to take some planning so I can minimize the size of the property settlement.

I would take my car and my life (and my kids if there are any), and leave.
If you decide not to do that, remind her that drunk driving is illegal and kills innocent people, tell her you will call the cops the second she pulls out of the driveway if she tries it - and then make sure you follow through. Every time.

Most of my friends are renters, so they don't really have anywhere to hide someone else's car. My workplace doesn't have a parking garage. And I am not paying for a storage unit. So, as you can see, not everybody has those options. Besides that seems like way too much time and energy toward something that won't make much of a difference anyway.
Although, you could leave the car in downtown Philly and let it get stripped.

Bad idea---
Legally, you could become an accessory if/when she kills herself or somebody else.
Don't do it.

My AW is hell bent on drinking herself to death. I can't stop her but it scares me to death to have her driving to the store to buy more booze. Thinking about trying a new tactic. Buy her a case of vodka and a carton of cigarettes. Tell her to have at it but don't drive. Anyone ever try anything like this? How did it work out?

I am sure she would still find a way to get booze. I mean she drove on just the rims & sparks probably were shooting out from the metal on metal contact. Reminder her that drunk driver is illegal and dangerous probably wont change a thing. Maybe a week bender with unlimited bottles of Vodka will force her to reach her bottom or she may just ask you to go get some more??

Kinda surprised that she has not tried to drive a tractor.
I do not have any more ideas.

After being drunk for 4 weeks she decided it was time to quit yesterday. Call me asking for help. Never could define what that help is though. I gave her a couple of ideas and went back to work. After out discussion last night its pretty clear that she is not getting it. Today i have totally avoided her.
